{"id":22,"date":"2010-10-02T09:41:15","date_gmt":"2010-10-02T09:41:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8080\/?p=22"},"modified":"2020-11-25T18:21:08","modified_gmt":"2020-11-25T18:21:08","slug":"informal-comparison-of-belgium-with-our-neighbours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ipv6council.be\/?p=22","title":{"rendered":"Informal Comparison of Belgium with our Neighbours"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Using http:\/\/www.vyncke.org\/ipv6status\/, we can have a little check with our usual neighbours and, to keep a long story short, Belgium has room for improvement.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> <strong>Belgium<\/strong>: the first IPv6 web site is RTBf (the French TV broadcaster) which is position 20 in the Alexa top sites for Belgium. <strong>No press, no ISP have IPv6-enabled web sites<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li> <strong>Netherlands<\/strong>: their first IPv6 web site is NU.nl (a news site ?) which is position 3 in the Alexa!  And 2nd IPv6 site is De Telegraaf. So, <strong>press is quite active in NL but no big ISP (XS4ALL excepted<\/strong> the 2nd largest ADSL provider).<\/li>\n<li> <strong>Luxembourg<\/strong>: their first IPv6 web site is pt.lu (their Belgacom) which is position 6 in the Alexa! But, this is the only site&#8230; <strong>Press is absent but ISP is present.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li> <strong>Germany<\/strong>: their first IPv6 web site t-online (their biggest ISP from Deutsche Telekom) which is position 8 in the Alexa, followed by Heise (a ICT press) which is position 12 in the Alexa.
